Music Class Choices for Next Year - Deadline May 15th

The scheduling process for next year is beginning soon, and students who wish to switch music classes for next year need to let their music teacher know in person by Wednesday, May 15th. Music class changes will not be made after that, nor at the beginning of the school year next year.

As you may be aware, students of middle school age tend to be fickle, which is challenging when it comes to obtaining a skill that takes a while to learn, such as playing an instrument or singing. "Sticking with it" is one of the skills that comes along with learning music, amongst other benefits. Music students tend to stick with their same music class throughout middle and high school.

Please keep in mind that more than likely the music teacher will try to talk students into sticking with it, but if it is mutually agreed between teacher and student, then a note from home is needed so we know a conversation was had about music class changes.

Thank you, and if you have any questions, please contact your child's music teacher.
