Sharon Middle School PTO
The SMS PTO is organized for the purpose of supporting the education of children at SMS by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers. Funded by PTO sponsorships, K.E.Y. education programs focus on topics related to the social and emotional well-being of students and are primarily concerned with technology, social media awareness, anti-bullying tactics, and suicide prevention. The student-focused events have break-out sessions and discussion groups. K.E.Y. also provides Parent/Guardian Nights, which are open to all Sharon Public School adults.
Last spring, K.E.Y. also took on two important issues: social media and technology. On Social Media and Tech Awareness Night, parent after parent stopped to tell organizers what a great event it was, how they learned what their kids were doing on the screens that are constantly in front of their faces, how they were committed to taking action.
PARENT NIGHT -- SAVE THE DATE!
