  • Hi Cougars,

Make sure you keep reading over the summer! If you want to have some extra motivation, check out Sharon Public Library's virtual summer reading program. If you register you will get entered in a drawing for an awesome prize. And if you read 1000 minutes over the summer, you might win even more prizes.

I also just wanted to say I miss you all and look forward to seeing you in the fall. Have a wonderful summer.

    Happy reading,

    Ms. Smith

  • Hello Cougars!

Well, we only have a couple more weeks of school. What are you going to do when school is officially out for summer? Why, read, of course! For 4th and 5th graders, you might want to get a jump on the books nominated for the Massachusetts Childrens Book Award (MCBA). If you read five books on the list between now and the end of February, you will be elligible to vote for your favorite. The books nominated for the MCBA are generally popular books recommended by teachers and librarians. Check out Everything MCBA! for the complete list of nominees, as well as book trailers and information about each title.

    Happy reading!

    Ms. Smith
