    STUDENT DROPOUTS

    Any requests from a student or family for termination of schooling prior to graduation from high school will be referred to the High School Principal, who will be responsible for developing recommendations with the Guidance Department for adjustment or modification in program that might encourage the student to remain in school. The recommendations of the Guidance Department and the Administration regarding program changes and termination shall be set forth in writing and discussed fully with the parents and student.

    No student sixteen years of age or older shall be considered to have permanently left the Sharon Public Schools except in accordance with Chapter 76, Section 18 of the Massachusetts General Laws.
