Type to Learn 4
Posted by R. Fuller on 10/10/2014 11:58:19 AMStudents in 3rd grade are introduced to touch typing using Type to Learn 4. The concepts of homerow, proper hand position and proper posture are introduced and reinforced through lessons and games. Students can download the software for home using the link below and their progess is synched between home and school. Students will need to ask their teacher for the school account code in order to use it at school.

Revolutionary War Wax Museum Posters
Posted by R. Fuller on 10/6/2014 8:40:03 AMGrade 3 students are preparing for their wax museum by creating posters to help prompt visitors to ask questions while they take on the persona of a Revolutionary War historical person.
They will also use Wordle to make a word cloud with terms and words related to their historical figure.

Original Poetry

Once their work was ready for publishing, they used the iPads to read aloud their poems and record themselves with Garage Band. From there, they used the iPads to take a picture of their poems and put it all together in iMovie. Below is a sample.
