SCHOOL COMMITTEE REVIEW OF REGULATIONS
The School Committee may review school department regulations whenever they appear inconsistent with policy, goals, or objectives of the district. If such inconsistency is identified, any member of the School Committee may bring it to the attention of the Superintendent in an effort to align expectations.
The Committee will not generally approve regulations except as required by state law or in cases when strong community, staff or student attitudes make it necessary or advisable for a regulation to have the advance approval of the Committee.
